

Randy Motiff, 54 of Fort Collins, CO passed away peacefully on December 10, 2012 following a ten-month courageous battle against cancer. He was born on December 2, 1958 in Madison, WI to Vic Motiff and Patricia Pelletier. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1977 and Madison Area Technical College in 1979 with a degree in Marketing. His biggest rewards in life were being part of his children’s lives and owning Front Range Sportswear. He enjoyed biking, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, cooking, watching football, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
He married his best friend and the love of his life Cindy Melcher in 1986. After a brief time living in Littleton, CO, they moved to Madison, WI and enjoyed the area for 17 years. He then returned with his family to Fort Collins, CO in 2006.
He was a devoted husband; father, brother, uncle and friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered, missed, and loved by all who were fortunate enough to have been in his life.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy, and children Marisa (15) and Zachary (5), of Fort Collins., CO. He also survived by his mother Patricia Pelletier (Bob) of WI; his siblings, Steve Motiff (Joanie) of CA, Michelle Heindel (Steve), Terry Motiff, Peggy Kluge (Ron), and Pat Motiff of WI, and Mike Motiff (Evonne Arat) of CO; mother and father-in-law, Albert and Leona Melcher; sister-in-law, Laura Hansen (Mark) of Fort Collins; brother-in-law, James Melcher of NC; and many nieces, nephews, good friends, and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Motiff, grandparents, Stephen and Agnes Brinkman, uncle, Tim Brinkman, and brother-in-law, Randy Melcher.
Many thanks to Cindy’s extended family, Mike Motiff, Marc Jolin and Paul Kleinsmith who spent numerous days with Randy over the past few months. Also thanks to all family, friends, and neighbors for their kindness, support, and love during this very difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
