He was one of three children of Margaret and Leonard Hope. Growing up in Wichita, Kansas, he attended Riverside Elementary, John Marshall Junior High, and graduated from North High School in 1962. During this time he was a Boy Scout and was active in Grace United Methodist Church. To earn money to keep gas in his car, he threw morning and evening newspapers for the Wichita Eagle-Beacon.
He attended Friends University before transferring to and graduating in 1968 from Kansas State College, Pittsburg. He returned to Wichita to teach at his high school alma mater, North High, in the Industrial Arts Department. His other career experiences were with Fox-Meyer Drug Co, Tradewind Industries, retiring the first time from Pitney Bowes and a second retirement from Woodward.
Randy met his wife, Marian, at Friends University, and they married August, 1966.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; sons Matthew (Nichole); Nathan (Lindsay) and sister Lynda Beth Adams. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin, and by his sister Debra Hope.
A service to honor Randle's life will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins. Burial to take place in Halstead, Kansas.
