Randy G. Wiegand

Randy G. Wiegand, age 62, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 29, 2008, after a long battle with health issues. Randy was born April 10, 1946 to Irene Wich and Melvin Wiegand in Fort Collins, Colorado. He married Caterina Costa on October 11, 1980.Randy was a long time member of the Northern Corvette Club in Fort Collins and the Greeley Corvette Club. He was well known for his coveted 1988 custom, sky blue Corvette. He was a retired operating engineer for the Local 9, a member since 1964. Randy will be remembered and cherished for his detailed woodworking skills, which he used to custom build his last two homes.Randy is survived by his loving and caring wife, Caterina of Fort Collins; his mother Irene Wiegand and sister Sharon Johnson of Barstow, CA; his daughter, Nikki Luciano of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; step-sons Ben Warrington of Atlanta, GA and Richard Warrington of Brighton; stepdaughter Valerie (Byron) Vinger of Glenwood Springs; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin and his son Shawn.A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2 from 4 â?? 8 pm and also on Saturday, January 3 from 9 â?? 11 am with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00am at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Highway 287, Ft. Collins, CO 80525. Good weather permitting, please honor Randy's memory and attend with your classic Corvettes.
