

Raymond Edgar Frisby, 91, of Fort Collins, passed away on February 20, 2016 in the care of Pathways Hospice at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He was born September 11, 1924 in Leon, Kansas to Roy and Pearl Frisby. After graduating from High School in Eldorado, Kansas, Raymond joined the U.S. Navy. He served during World War II (1943-1946) and was aboard the escort carrier, U.S.S. Makin Island in the Pacific.
Raymond worked for the Coleman Company and Beech Aircraft Corp., both in Wichita, until transferring with Beech Aircraft to Boulder, Colorado. He then worked for Ball Aerospace in the Boulder/Broomfield area until 1989, when he retired after 22 years with that firm. On April 27, 1991, he married Norma Lee Hughes Bogart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Owen. Raymond is survived by his wife Norma of Fort Collins; son, Dan Frisby of Dallas, TX; daughters, Pamala (Jim) Busch of Suquamish, WA and Terrie (Art) Barrows of Kingston, WA; step-son, Steve Bogart of Hawksprings, WY; step-daughter, Pam Gross of Carpenter, WY; grandchildren, James Busch, Aimee Miller, Kayla Keating, Sandy Rubi, Derek Frisby, Tiffanie Walters, Lacy Bogart, Clayton Gross, and Tanna White; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, L. Max (Nancy) Frisby of Sedalia, MO; brother-in-law, Gary E. (Shirley) Hughes of Williamsburg, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.,m, Wednesday, March 9th at the Meadowlark Church of Christ in Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mountain States Children’s Home, Box 1097, Longmont, CO 80502-1097 or to charity of choice in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
