Robert Lee Weimer

January 22, 1951 – April 29, 2026
Obituary of Robert Lee Weimer
IN THE CARE OF

Allnutt Funeral Service – Drake Road Chapel

Robert Lee "Bob" Weimer, 75, of Fort Collins, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at home surrounded by family. As Bob would tell you, he was enjoying poor health and had endured a long battle with metastatic melanoma prior to his passing.

Bob was born on January 22, 1951, in Fort Morgan to Albert and Hazel Weimer. Bob graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1969. While in high school, he met his wife, Linda, and they married in 1971 while Bob was in college. Bob graduated from CSU with a degree in Information Systems. Immediately following his college graduation in 1973, Bob started work at Kodak, where he remained until his retirement in 2019.

Bob was truly a family man, constantly with his wife, dog and usually a grandkid or two at his side. In his younger days, Bob was a competitive fast pitch softball player, and the family spent many weekends traveling to various tournaments. He coached t-ball and baseball for his son, Rodd, and later for his granddaughters, Tessa and Regan. Bob loved watching sports and was often found rooting for or cursing at his favorite teams...the Rockies, the Broncos and the CSU Rams.

Bob also enjoyed gardening and maintaining an immaculate yard. Most holidays were spent at home with his family, enjoying a long meal, drinking wine from Cakebread Cellars, telling stories and laughing. He had a dry sense of humor and often made wry observations, keeping Linda laughing every day. Bob and Linda loved their trips to Maui and made countless memories there. Most evenings, Bob and Linda would enjoy binging their current TV show while sipping a glass of bourbon.

Surviving Bob are his wife of 55 years, Linda; children Rodd (Samantha) Weimer of Broomfield and Michelle (Mike) Kerr of Windsor; grandchildren, Tessa and Regan Weimer and Will and Sydney Kerr; sisters Karen (Bill) Baker of Peabody, MA and Cathy (Kevin) Lindell of Fort Morgan, brother-in-law Dennis Neuberger of Loveland, sister-in-law Susan Herbst of Evans and his spirited beagle, Izzee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Neuberger.

At the request of Bob, the family will not be holding services, and they ask that you honor him with a toast of bourbon.
