Vicki lived her life enjoying casual time spent at home, providing care and support for those she loved and held dear. She will be remembered for always choosing kindness over recognition and being ever true to herself.
Born in Denver, Colorado on February 23, 1951, she was the daughter of Pearl Marie (Summers) and Thomas Osborne Tennant. She grew up in Denver with one sister, Helen Merrill, and lived her entire life in beautiful Colorado. One of the greatest joys in her youth was getting her first car at the age of 15 years and nine months. She took great pride in obtaining her driver's license and relished in the freedom it provided her. Following high school, Vicki worked a variety of jobs and finished her career with Kaiser-Hill, a subcontractor for the Department of Energy. She worked in purchasing for environmental cleanup.
On July 1, 1972, Vicki married the love of her life, Paul Aguilar. They built their home and a beautiful life together in Evergreen, Colorado. While Paul enjoyed outdoor activities, Vicki, who was not fond of the cold, enjoyed the comforts of home. Together, Vicki and Paul enjoyed a lifetime of travel, attending special events, shows, and concerts. Vicki loved music and she loved Paul. Their lives together revolved around one another and the interests they shared. Following their retirement, they decided to depart Evergreen and moved to Severance. Through the ups and downs that life can bring, Vicki and Paul remained devoted to one another, always making time to simply enjoy life. At the time of her passing, Vicki and Paul had celebrated more than 53 wonderful years together.
Vicki was a truly beautiful person, inside and out. With her generous sense of humor, she was a joy to be around. She developed close and special relationships with her coworkers, who she treasured as friends. She was kind to all and caused harm to none. She enjoyed simple pleasures, such as working in the yard, long walks with her husband, and quiet afternoons listening to soul music. She loved spending time with family, especially during the holidays. She valued, above all, the love and importance of family.
Vicki will be dearly missed by her devoted and loving husband, Paul Aguilar, as well as extended family and dear friends.
In accordance with her own wishes, no funeral services will be held. Vicki will be placed to eternal rest in a private ceremony at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins. Treasured memories and words of condolence are welcome at resthavencolorado.com.
