Arthur “Art Krieger died on August 31st of 2022 at 133 pm in Fullerton, California of chronic lung disease, just some months shy of his 90th birthday. He and his surviving wife, Irene, were residents of North Orange County for many decades. Art remained committed to his faith with regular conversations to his Rabbi at Temple Beth Ohr after he could no longer attend Sabbath. Art will be laid to rest nearby his son Donald at Loma Vista Cemetery.
Art was born on January 6th, 1933, in Los Angeles, California. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marines; he remained ever so proud that he served his country. He retired at the age of 79 from a successful career in the commercial glass industry, where he was held in the highest regard. After his retirement he and his wife Irene enjoyed their years, always together, relishing life’s indulgences at family gatherings, which Art loved to attend. Art also loved his PaiGow. Anytime he could, he would corral a family member to the casino in utter enjoyment.
Art is survived by his wife Irene, their daughter Sandy, her husband Jim; Their son, Don’s widow Mayumi; Art’s sister Susie, her husband Allen; Three grandchildren Ken and wife Andrea; Ashley and husband James; and Amy. Their great grandchildren will surely miss him as Art enjoyed them more than anything. Art will be missed by his family of many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews that he loved and laughed with throughout the years.
A final illustration of Art’s kindness is his request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
