Betty Haub Mclntyre Was born on February 19, 1924 in St Paul, Minnesota. She moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of 5, attending kindergarten there. The family moved back to St Paul just in time for her primary schooling (1st thru 8th grade) at St. Vincente Catholic School. During her high school years she moved more than four times and transferred from St Louis to Altadena, California then finishing senior year and graduating June of 1942 in East Liverpool, Ohio. After graduation she moved to Washington D.C. where she worked at the Navy Annex Department of Aviation Marine Corps. While working there Betty met the love of her life, Herbert Mclntyre, and they married on October 23, 1943 at St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington D.C. Once Herbert was out of the service they moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked at the Army Records Center until the end of the war. When Herb was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1945 they lived in Ohio until ultimately California. In 1953 they purchased a house in Fullerton, CA at 467 W. Hill Avenue and lived there for 36 years raising their four children. Betty cared for her children while proudly working at J.C. Penney for many years. In 1989 Herbert & Betty sold their home and purchased a new mobile home in Rancho Fullerton mobile home park where they made many lovely friends. Betty has left this earth and gone to see our God in heaven. She was and will always be the most pure hearted person anyone has had the chance to meet. She was the light of so many lives by her daily actions, wisdom with words and her warm inviting smile. Throughout her years she loved to paint, travel, attend bible studies with friends and share happy moments with her family. She has gone now to be with the love of her life Herbert, who has been awaiting their reunion for many years. She will be sorely missed but she will always live on through those she loved and who loved her. Betty is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou Bors (sister) and Robert Haub (brother); her children Catherine Carey (daughter), Donald Mclntyre (son), Paul Mclntyre (son), Marian Harrison (daughter); her granddaughters Autumn Harrison, Shannon Robinson, April Harrison, Christine Browning; and great granddaughter Sophia Robinson.
