It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian Galvin, who is now in heaven with his beautiful mother Aggie Osterkamp Galvin. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his beloved son, Reese Joseph Galvin, his father Joseph Galvin, his sister Roanne (Pedro), and brother, Patrick (Alyse) and former spouse Keirsty. Brian will also be fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces, Cooper, Aaron, Sean, Connor, Bridget, Bryce, Camden, Brock and Victoria and his numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Brian’s optimism in life was fueled by his deep love for his son, Reese. Nothing made Brian as happy than to be with Reese. Whether it be outdoors, exploring for insects and wildlife, as a volunteer coach for Reese’s baseball teams, or accompanying Reese on many of his Boy Scout outings, Brian was always most proud of his role as father to Reese. Brian will also be remembered for his love of nature and the outdoors, his fun sense of humor, his impeccable barbecues (best ribs in town) and cooking skills, discussing politics with his father or anyone else for that matter, his love for his nephews and nieces, close friends and extended family, traveling to Flagstaff, AZ (home of his college alma mater, NAU Lumberjacks), the beach and his love of reading. One of his favorite novels was The Stand by Stephen King. It deeply appealed to Brian’s sense of justice and how he perceived humanity’s constant struggle in overcoming the odds for the greater good of mankind. Brian’s gentle and loving nature will be missed by us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for those who so desire to make memorial donations in memory of Brian to the Salvation Army. Brian was very fond of the Salvation Army and their mission to provide Bible based support to all those in need.
