Aspgren September 29, 1945 – September 22, 2016 Clifford Brian Aspgren passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on September 22, 2016 in Anaheim California after enduring many years of illness and injury.Cliff was born September 29, 1945 in Denver Colorado to Esther and Clifford Aspgren. He grew up in Denver with his older sister and several cousins. He graduated from South High School in 1963, and continued his education at Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado, where he met the love of his life. He and Patricia were married on December 11, 1965, and began their fifty-year adventure together.Cliff was a talented electrician, and spent most of his career running his own electrical contracting company. He enjoyed the electrical business until he was physically unable to meet the demands of his trade. He then engaged in sales positions, and eventually retired when his health continued to affect his ability to work.Cliff took an interest in many different things. He loved art, and had a talent for oil painting. He also enjoyed traveling. From family road trips, to trans- Atlantic cruises, Cliff wanted to see the world, and experience its history. He also had a passion for fishing. Whenever he had the opportunity, Cliff would be out on the ocean, deep-sea fishing. Not only did he love to fish, he also tried his hand at breeding and raising tropical fish, having the highest success with angelfish and beta fish. Cliff's most beloved interest however, was simply caring for his dogs. He loved them dearly, and they loved him right back.Cliff was well known for his generosity and his willingness to serve the people around him. He was always ready to lend a hand, a strong shoulder, or a listening ear. He was never short on encouragement or advice.Cliff loved to laugh and he never took himself too seriously. His humor saw him through some of the more difficult times of his life. He also had great faith. He converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1977, and found comfort and strength in his convictions ever since. It was through his faith, and humor, and great capacity to love and to serve that he was able to bear the burden of illness and disability. Cliff had an extraordinary love for his family. He has been a devoted husband for over 50 years; a loving father for 49 years; and a proud grandpa for 25 years.
