Born May 19, 1941, in Muncy, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank R. Youtz and Bertha E. Skooglund Youtz.
David graduated from Muncy High School and received his Master’s in Education from Lycoming College. He completed his Bachelors degree and teaching credential in Pennsylvania and briefly taught school in Philadelphia before moving to California teacher fifth grade for the Tustin Unified School District.
David will be remembered as a kind gentleman who enjoyed teaching, fast cars, and fine dining near the ocean.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his husband-Richard Wheeler and four sisters-Jane Whanley, Charlotte Pauling, Betsy Youtz and Jean Hester.
His family would like to express their gratitude to the University of Irvine Medical Center Oncology Department. They treated David with respect and loving care.
