It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Gabriela Harrison on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Diane was born on November 25, 1962 in North Hollywood, California, to Wojciech and Elzbieta Kosmowski. At the time she moved to Heaven, Diane was 62 years old and residing in Placentia, California with her husband and love of her life, James Harrison. James and Diane were married on June 17, 2006 and were blessed with over 18 fun-filled and adventurous years.
In addition to her husband James, Diane cherished the many loved ones in her life, including her parents Wojciech and Elzbieta Kosmowski; her brother Mark Kosmowski and sister-in-law Tracy Kosmowski; her sister Kathy (“Kasia”) Albright; her father- and mother-in-law Myrl and Priscilla Harrison; her brother- and sister-in-law Alan and Natacha Harrison; her nieces Katelyn, Beth, Alayiah, and Jordan and her nephew Luke; as well as her many other family members and dear friends.
In the 1980s, Diane attended the University of California, Irvine, where she studied computer science and where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1985. For approximately 20 years, Diane worked in the computer software support industry. Shortly after she and James were married, Diane left the software support industry and accepted a position as the church administrator for Epic Church, which she did happily for several years. Following that she worked for years at Armstrong Garden Centers before retiring in 2017.
Diane had a deep, personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and she loved Him with all her heart. She felt closest to the Lord during worship services, when reading her Bible, and when enjoying nature outdoors, especially when tending her garden. Diane loved being a wife, a daughter, a sister, an auntie, and a friend. Her greatest joys were spending time with her husband and other loved ones. Some of her favorite activities included baking, working in her garden, hiking and enjoying God’s creation, laughing, and encouraging others on this journey of life. Some of the many things Diane loved included California native plants, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Maui Hawaii, sea turtles, birds, butterflies, ladybugs, donkeys, sunflowers, daisies, oak trees, ice cream, chocolate, and various teas. Diane’s greatest desire was to be remembered as a woman who shined brightly with the love of Jesus.
Arrangements are being made for Diane’s Celebration of Life event. Details will be forthcoming.
