Dorota L. Silenski

Dorothy passed away peacefully Thursday, August 21, 2014 with her loved ones at her side following a year-long battle with stomach cancer. Dorothy was born on February 10, 1967 in Pabianice, Poland. She moved to Utah in 1985 where she began her life in the United States. She spent the last 23 years residing in Fullerton, CA and enjoying life with her best friends at her side. To the members of the Gregorczyk/Wasaznik/Lukasik families, she was one of their own. Countless happy days were spent laughing and enjoying the sunshine at the Silenski Oasis , which her pool was lovingly named. She was a dedicated employee at Staples for the past 8 years working in the capacity of Print Account Manager. She was a hardworking woman who took on many jobs always thinking of and providing for her boys. With Dorothy's hard work and strong faith, she provided Michael and Thomas with a private Catholic education which she was so proud of. They were her absolute pride and joy. While this last year of Dorothy's life was a true test, she showed immense strength and perseverance. She lived with purpose and with a light in her eyes even on the darkest days. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her sons Michael and Thomas, brother Jacek & his wife Ewa, her mother Wanda Omelanczuk and father Jan Omelanczuk. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd. Fullerton, CA 92832. A funeral mass will be held at Pope John Paul II Catholic Church, 3999 Rose Dr. Yorba Linda, CA 92886 on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her boys.
