Ed was born in Chicago, IL to Daniel and Evelyn (Schneider) Bresnen. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Daniel, and his sister Evelyn Kirberg. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from De Paul University and an MBA from Northwestern University. In 1954, he and Jacqueline Riedl were married and subsequently had four children. Ed moved his family to Fullerton in 1960 while employed by Autonetics. He retired in 1991 after employment with Hughes Aircraft and TRW. For many years, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks, and PROBUS. He also spent many of his early retirement years playing golf travelling.
He is survived by his loving wife, and his children: Judith Stetzer (Robin), Evelyn Friedman (Rick – deceased), Edward Jr. (Shelley), and James (Jeannie). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Brea on Monday, May 6 at 10:00 AM.
