It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gene Patton, a loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, friend to many and devoted husband of 56 years to his late wife, Sandra. Born on February 11, 1937, Gene embarked on his final journey on February 13, 2024, just days after celebrating his 87th birthday. Gene cherished an active retirement alongside his beloved wife, Sandy, embracing activities such as golf, weekly pool games, traveling with the Fullerton seniors, engaging in art classes, attending shows at the La Mirada Theater, and socializing with a close-knit circle of lifelong friends. He is fondly remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, charm, steadfast faith in God, exquisite paintings, and unwavering devotion to Sandy. A devoted member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Fullerton, Gene also proudly served in the Marine Corps.
Above all, Gene's love for his wife, Sandy, was a beacon of devotion. Their partnership was filled with shared joys, challenges overcome together, and countless precious moments. Sandy was not just his wife but his best friend, confidante, and the love of his life. Gene leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, creativity, and community spirit that will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways he touched our lives. Together they will be forever remembered for the countless experiences and memories he and Sandy created for their children and grandchildren. We will hold him in our hearts forever, cherishing the memories and the love he shared so freely.
