

Gerald was born in Orange County, California on May 11, 1934. His parents Leroy & Dollie Cook raised their family in Yorba Linda, California. He is survived by his sister Carol Remlinger, who resides in Canada. Gerald is also survived by his three sons (and spouses): Craig (Luann), Randy (Teri), and Ron (Patty). Gerald also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Gerald attended Fullerton High School and graduated in 1952, were he met his beloved wife Roberta Lynn Stafford. Gerald married Roberta Lynn on April 8, 1955 and they shared over 64 wonderful & blessed years of life together. Both were very active members of the Church of Christ.
Gerald served in the US Coast Guard in San Diego, CA from 1957 - 1959. After his service in the US Coast Guard, Gerald was employed by the California Department of Transportation (Cal Trans). His position was a Safety Coordinator for the Southern California area for which he served for over 40 years.
Gerald was very involved in his community in Fullerton. Some of the activities he and his sons participated in were Little League, Pop Warner, and the YMCA Indian Guides. Other activities Gerald was involved in were the Fullerton Elks Club, Commonwealth Elementary PTA, and the Troy High School Booster Club. Most recently he had become the President of the Resident Council at Oakmont Senior Living where he resided.
Gerald’s hobbies included camping, RVing, fishing, bowling, golfing, photography and bird watching.
Gerald was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family & friends
