Jacob Michael Poemoceah was born on May 6, 1982 in Fullerton, CA to Malcolm and Wilhelmina (Willy). He is survived by Malcolm, siblings Joseph Poemoceah and Jessie Alvarez and nephews Andrew, Matthew, Rowan and Rhys.
Throughout Jacob’s younger years he was known for his long hair and skateboarding. In high school, Jacob enjoyed wrestling at Anaheim High School and was also part of Track and Field. Jacob loved to cook and had once explored going into culinary arts. Eventually, Jacob found a place for his talent of connecting with people and his love for a good time in the bar scene. He served as a barback at several local bars in the Downtown Fullerton and Anaheim areas.
He was always willing to do what he could to "help out a buddy." And his friends loved him, as evidenced by the number of times they were willing to help him. He was always on the lookout for things that reminded him of them and he kept those pictures and mementos with him through his many moves over the years.
Jacob passed on August 25, 2024 at the age of 42. He will be remembered by his many friends, family, and acquaintances for his long beard, frybread and indian tacos, and dreamcatchers. May his soul finally find the peace he so desperately searched for.
Jacob’s cremated remains will be interred at Anaheim Cemetery on a later date.
