
Jay Donald Tesch was born on October 22, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Arthur and Mildred Tesch. He passed away on May 9, 2022 on his mother's birthday. He lived in Denver until 1957 when he and his parents and grandmother moved to CA so he could attend the University of Southern California. He gave up a scholarship to Denver University to come to the University of Southern California for his junior year. He was accepted into USC Dental School and graduated in 1962.
Upon graduation, Jay volunteered to serve as a dentist in the United States Air Force. He served as a Captain for two years and was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After an honorable discharge, he and his wife, Jane, returned to California in July 1964.
Jay started his dental practice in Fullerton, California in August 1964 and retired in March 1997. During those years, he developed a very successful dental practice and touched many lives. He and his wife, a dental hygienist, enjoyed working together over those years.
Jay served as President of the Orange County Dental Society from 1971 to 1972. He became a Delegate to California Dental Association from 1973 to 1976.
Jay enjoyed many hobbies and most were related to working with his hands. He did intricate wood scroll pieces and stained glass. Gardening brought him great pleasure.
Jay and Jane were married on August 12, 1961. They were blessed with over sixty years of marriage. They had met as students at USC Dental School.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, and four nephews, Robert Price, David Price, Jon Price and Daniel Price and their families. A private funeral will be held followed by a military salute at the graveside. A celebration of Jay's life will occur at a later date.
Jay will be greatly missed, but we were all blessed by having our lives touched by him.
