
Lorene Elizabeth Chapman Frazier, 89, of La Habra, California passed away peacefully on April 8th, She was deeply loved and admired by her family, as well as generations of friends, neighbors and coworkers. Her life was a gift to us all. Lorene was born in her parent's farmhouse in Blue Springs, Missouri, in 1927. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Scarborough in 1947, and moved to California with their daughter in 1952. Later they had two sons, and Lorene began a 27 year career at California Federal Savings. Lorene's second marriage was to Raymond Frazier in 1967. Their home for the next 48 years became the gathering place for family and friends. She loved that her house was where we celebrated birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, and Little League victories. She retired from Cal Fed in 1990, but soon began a new career at Slaten Financial, where she worked each tax season through 2016. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Hawaii, Alaska, Washington DC, Mexico, Paris and Italy. She particularly loved having her twin sister and best friend Lera accompany her. She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings, Russell Chapman,Cyrus Creed (CC) Chapman, Carlee Vahlbusch, Kenneth Chapman, and Lera Porter. She leaves behind her daughter, Linda Sommerof Visalia, CA, sons Bill Frazier (Merry) of Yorba Linda,CA, and Larry Frazier (Kathleen) of Anaheim, CA, grandsons Dr. Scott Harrison (Melissa), Paul Frazier(Laura), Aaron Frazier (Sarah), and Ryan Frazier, granddaughters Alaina Childs and Caitlyn Frazier, and three great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Catherine, and Henry. A Remembrance Open House will be at the home of Bill and Merry Frazier in Yorba Linda on May 13th from 1 to 5. All who knew her or her family are invited.
