OBITUARY

Paul James Grissman

July 10, 1955 – May 1, 2026
Obituary of Paul James Grissman
IN THE CARE OF

McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

Paul James Grissman, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on July 10, 1955, in Kaukauna, Paul carried his Midwestern roots with him throughout his life. In 1985, he made California his home, where he built a life defined by hard work, loyalty, friendship, and deep love for his family.

Paul spent more than 30 years working in the oilfield industry, a career that reflected his strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication. Along the way, he formed lifelong friendships and collected countless stories that he loved sharing with those around him. He had a natural gift for making people laugh, feel welcome, and feel like family.

Outside of work, Paul found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved old cars, classic rock music, quiet moments watching hummingbirds gather at his feeders, and spending time with the people he loved most. Whether sharing stories, jokes, or simply sitting together enjoying the day, Paul had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable.

Above all else, Paul was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He sacrificed everything he had for his family and was the rock of their foundation. Always dependable, protective, and present when he was needed most. His love for his family was constant and unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever.

Paul is survived by his three children, Tiffany (Nick), Melissa (Jeremy), and Paul II (Safaa). He loved all of his grandchildren with all his heart: Jayme, Elizabeth, Arabella, Isaac, Cassidy, Paul III, Alaric, Eli, and Kaiser.

Paul is further survived by his brother, Ves Grissman; his sister, Linda Linders; and his sister-in-law, MaryJane Grissman.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Ken Grissman, and his sister-in-law, Arlene Grissman.

Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing he would want to be remembered not with sadness alone, but with laughter, good stories, music playing in the background, and appreciation for the simple moments shared together.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
