

Robert Coney Johnston, 38, of Fullerton, CA passed peacefully on August 3rd after a courageous battle against cancer. He was surrounded by his family & friends. Robert was born on May 2, 1979 in Fullerton, the son of Thomas and Mary (Coney) Johnston. He graduated from Valencia High School in Placentia in 1997 where he was active in the drama and choir programs. Robert went on to earn his Bachelor's degree at UC Irvine. He pursued a career in college placement at his alma mater. Robert was passionate about his participation in acting, ballet and choir. He developed lifelong friendships with those who shared his passions. One of the highlights of Robert's year was attending Comic Con. He recently took part in his 25th consecutive Comic Con. Another of Robert's passions was visiting his family back East each Christmas where he was an avid fan of the theater and ballet. Robert is survived by his loving brother, James. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who loved him and will miss him deeply. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, 8/8 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary 902 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton (714.525.4721) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and a mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, 8/9 at 10:30am at St. Joseph's Church 717 N Bradford Avenue Placentia (714.528.1487).
