Rosalie Myrene Herr

She was born Rosalie Miller in San Diego, California. She attended Garfield Elementary School and Hoover High School. She received her Education Degree from San Diego State University.

Some time in 1959 she met Dave Herr, a young naval officer who recently arrived at the Naval Training Center, Point Loma. They quickly recognized their life commonalities, similarities in family, interests, values and especially in their love for God. They also recognized their growing love for each other. Rosalie had been attending Scott Memorial Baptist Church and was firmly entrenched in the college group activities. Dave joined in those activities. They were married June 18,1960 with pastor Tim LaHaye performing the ceremony for one of his favorite young members. The youth pastor, Jerry Rife, was Dave’s Best Man. Soon the first son, Gregory, was born in San Diego. In mid-1962, when Dave was released from the navy, the family moved to Fullerton, California for Dave’s new job at Hughes. Rosalie found teaching work at Cypress School District in elementary grades, mainly 4th and 5th. A second son, Gary, was born in Fullerton. The family continued living in Fullerton for many years with Dave and Rosalie moving to Oakmont of Fullerton in December of 2022.
