Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15
Tim Jimenez - husband, father, son, brother, friend, teacher, coach, and faithful follower of Jesus Christ, passed into eternal life on November 11, 2021.
Tim was born in Whittier on August 19, 1982. He attended St. Mary of the Assumption Elementary School and St. Paul High School where he received accolades as an outstanding baseball player. Tim earned two Division I college scholarships playing first for CSU Fullerton and eventually playing and graduating with his Bachelor of Science Degree from San Jose State University. He also enjoyed summer collegiate ball, playing on teams throughout the country. Tim went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education.
In 2006, Tim married his high school sweetheart, Jill, and began his career in education. He taught in the Science Department at his alma mater, St. Paul HS, where he was a beloved teacher and baseball coach for nine years. Tim began his ministry at Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine in 2015, where he combined humor, patience, and relational ministry daily, on the field and in the classroom, serving as a model of faithfulness for his students. One of Tim’s favorite things to do was coach both of his sons as a La Habra City Little League coach.
Anyone that knew Tim, knew his love for the game of baseball and his passion for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bobbleheads of Dodger greats lined his classroom shelves. However, there was no greater love in his life than his wife of 16 years, Jillian, and their three children, Timothy, Jace, and Tessa. He was a devoted husband and family man whose quick wit and love for life’s simple pleasures and traditions made an impact on all of us.
Along with Jill and the kids, Tim is survived by his sister Jennifer (Javier) Rodriguez, brothers Mario Jimenez and Chris (Georgina) Jimenez, in-laws Randy and Julie Reynoso, Randall (Sarah) Reynoso, Dina (Kevin) Argumosa, Erica (Clint) Bartow, and a multitude of nephews, nieces, loving friends and family. He is preceded in death by loving his parents, Mario and Josephine Jimenez.
