

Albert Jackson Main, Jr., beloved husband of Kay Knight Main of Germantown and beloved father of Brian Matthew Main (Shannon – kids Brooke and Calvin) of Frederick passed away peacefully on Thursday October 16, 2025, at the early age of 78. He was born on April 6, 1947, in Frederick, Maryland: Son of the late Albert Jackson Main, Sr. and Louise Catherine Main, and Brother to retired firefighter of Frederick, Maryland James (Jimmy) Edward Main (Chris). He is also survived by sister-in-law Nancy Enkiri, nephew Sean Enkiri (Burke – kids Cade and Kiera) and niece Christine (Tini) Swann (Matthew – kids Amina, Seda, and Silas). Al loved everyone in his family, and you could catch him on video calls for everyone’s birthday and holidays.
He graduated from Frederick High School in 1965 and from there attended the University of Maryland where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. Through college he worked as a part-time bank teller at Suburban Trust where he worked extremely hard for decades going through numerous bank mergers (Suburban Trust to Suburban Bank to Sovran to Nations to Bank of America). He retired from Industrial Bank in 2015 where he helped plan the ATM locations in the brand-new Washington Nationals Stadium.
Al loved photography and even took pictures for several weddings throughout the years. He also developed his own negatives and later on did enlargements.
For many decades, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served on numerous committees, even serving as Chairman for some. Also, was one of the Food Managers at the Chicken Food Booth during the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
A Celebration of Life Service will he held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 13700 Schaeffer Road, Germantown, MD 20874 on November 16, 2025. Visitation will be from 4-4:45 pm followed by food and social time from 5-7pm.
