Born in Northern Lebanon on June 19, 1975, to Lopie Elias Makdessi and Georges Phillipe Sissi, Alberto later moved to the United States, where he earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland. Despite his academic background, his passion led him to the culinary world, where he became a successful restaurateur, opening several establishments throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
Alberto was known for his warmth, generosity, and infectious joy. He deeply loved his three daughters, his “ladies”, who were the light of his life. He had a gift for making people feel at home, whether through sharing a meal, telling a joke, or greeting guests with his signature smile. To Alberto, every customer was family, and his restaurants reflected the love and hospitality he so freely gave.
Alberto's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His spirit, laughter, and kindness will be remembered always.
