Born in Belarus, he spent his younger years in war torn eastern Europe, ultimately living in a displaced person's camp in Germany. In 1950, he migrated to the United States on the General C. C. Ballou as part of a refugee resettlement program. In 1959, he graduated with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering Degree from Rutgers University. He spent most of his career employed by the Library of Congress - working with various programs such as NASA during the first moon landing in the 60's and leading delegations of Russian Nuclear scientists in the 70's. He retired at age 74 and lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Tony was a loving husband and caring father. He was active with his parish St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, the Boy Scouts and the Knights of Columbus Council 2323. He enjoyed playing golf, attending church and tutoring students with math. His love of books extended into retirement as he continued to work at a bookstore.
