September 21, 1995 – April 4, 2022
Andrew Michael Hornish, age 26, passed over peacefully surrounded by his family on April 4, 2022, after battling cancer for a year and a half. Andrew was born and raised in Washington, DC, and attended Ivymount School for 17 years. He worked out at the Spirit Club in Kensington and was a regular on the track at Turkey Thicket Rec Center. Andrew enjoyed cruising the DMV with his amazing mentor and life coach, Anthony Fields, while rocking out to music of all genres. He was known to impart wisdom without a lot of words. His love was unfiltered and profound, often given to special friends and family with an adoring and intense gaze. He was appreciated for his mischievous antics, sense of humor, and contagious chuckle. He woke up each morning with a dazzling smile on his face which will be missed by all. He was patient, authentic, and open-hearted.
