
Anna-Marie Vasquez passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on September 1, 2019. Born on November 21, 1946 in Washington D.C. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and her beloved Dumbarton College with a Bio-Chem degree. She cultivated a successful career in the medical field as a biologist at St. James Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, Brookhaven National Lab Long Island NY, and The National Institute of Health in Bethesda. Anna was a music enthusiast, played the acoustic guitar and gleefully attended a bevy of concerts. She enjoyed all forms of music especially, traditional Mexican and Irish folk. Another passion of Anna’s was world travel and aquatics. Her travels lead her to all parts of the world from Mexico to Japan often with mother in tow.
Anna is preceded in death by a sister Angelina, a brother Eloy, her son Kevin, her father and mother, Angelina. She is survived by brothers Paul, Art, Louie, Ed and John; a sister Monica along with a host of cherished cousins, nieces and nephews and a multitude of world-wide friends.
Friend may call at the Shrine of The Sacred Heart, 3211 Sacred Heart Way, Washington, D.C. on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be at The Gate of Heaven, Silver Spring, Maryland
