Carmela Genung

She was born on November 15,1930 in Newark, NJ the second of four children born to Mario and Mary D’Alessio. She married George Genung in 1956 and together they raised a son and daughter, Roy and Leslie. Midge is survived by her son Roy (Katherine) and daughter, Leslie Meyers (Bruce), four grandchildren, Mitch Wall, Zachary Genung, Nick Meyers and Allison Meyers. She is preceded in death by her husband, George, sister, Marie Moson and brother Anthony D’Alessio. Her sister Catherine D’Alessio survived her but passed away in March 2023.

Funeral Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 starting at 2 pm. Please arrive about 45minutes to an hour before the scheduled service. Once you arrive at the cemetery, please proceed to the security guards and notify them you are here for a service; they will direct you to the assigned parking lot with the deceased's last name (GENUNG). From there, stay at your vehicle and the cemetery representative will give you further instructions. We recommend everyone to bring a photo ID.
