Charles Keith Smith

Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Honsuk K Smith, his children Kenny (Dawn) and Erika (Mike) Lazar, seven grandchildren, siblings, Terry Bitel, Alan (Diane) Smith, Vicky (Brian) Smith, Daryl (Ronnie) Smith, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Charlie retired as a Chief Warren Officer Five from the US Army with 33 years of service. Other employment includes Lockheed Martin, and the Pentagon retiring in 2023.

Charlie was a life-long learner and proudly earned his PhD from the University of Maryland. He was an avid runner as well, completing five marathons.

Charlie always will be remembered for his sense of humor - he loved making people laugh.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5th at 3:00 PM at the Global Mission Church 13421 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.
