

Edouarde Netus Perrin, (Manmy Doudou), passed away on February 23, 2025, in Shady Grove Hospital, Rockville, Maryland at the remarkable age of 100. Edouarde’s journey began in Camp-Perrin, Haiti, which she kept close to her heart since moving to Maryland with her daughter, Natacha, for the past 25 years. She lived a life filled with faith, warmth, and close connections with family and friends.
Edouarde worked hard most of her life, ensuring her children received the best education and were always well off. Her love for her family and friends had no boundaries. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurturer, protector, and friend. She was also a businesswoman who travelled to different Caribbean countries, demonstrating her commitment and expertise in her field.
She was very generous and hosted many family members and friends in her home when they needed a place to stay or needed additional support during life’s trials and tribulations. To those who had the privilege of knowing her, she taught the meaning of unconditional love. Her legacy is one of hard work, perseverance, dedication, and joy from living life fully. She was a lady of elegance and grace.
She is survived by her children, Fanchette Netus Auguste, Fritz Netus, Natacha Pierre-Paul Lassegue and son-in-law Jean Lassegue. She is preceded in death by her son Jean-Guillaume Netus. She leaves behind, her grandchildren, Patrice Netus, Robert Auguste, Jennifer Auguste, Neal, Natael, and Nyssa Netus, Sabrina, and Edward Lassegue. Her great-grandchildren: Alisha Netus; Jolie, Elyse, Chloe Netus; Damien, Mathis Netus; Jake, Kayla Auguste; and Ian Gabriel. She is also survived by her sisters, Mona Jolivert Pierre-Louis, her husband, Marc-Antoine Pierre-Louis and family, Rene Jolivert Hereaux and family; her nieces and nephews Maryse Perrin and family; Marie Jeanne Perrin Jarda and family; Georget, Maude, Carlo, Aliette, Daniel Perrin and family; Junie, Gilberte, Leopold, Micheline, Valentin Remarais and family; Marcelle Netus Trichet and family; Helene Netus Theodore and family; Lorvelie Netus Jean-Louis, Genevieve Isaure Netus Francois, Lucien Netus and family; Guillaume Netus and family; Merry, Marc-Aurel et Jean-Yvon Banatte and family; Gertrude, Lucie Valere and family; her goddaughters Dominique Banatte Hyppolite and family, Lysberte Trichet Bance and family. She is also survived by many extended family members: Perrin, Netus, Pierre-Paul, Jolivert, Constant, Percy, Bernard, Milord, Felix, Tessie, Jean-Louis, Lyonel, Mathurin.
A memorial service and a celebration of Edouarde’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at City of Light Church, 520 Randolph Road, Colesville, MD. For those who cannot be with us but would like to view the service, a link will be available soon.
