Mr. Frank Claude Johnson, 77, of Gaithersburg, MD passed away at his home on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Born in Yaba, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria on October 24, 1948, he was a son of the late Frank Gunnar Johnson and Marcelina Juanita O’Dwyer Johnson.
Frank is survived by his wife, Begai Johnson and his four children, Claudius Olatunde Johnson, Olufunmilayo Victoria Jones, Olusegun Ghage-Gunnar Johnson and Olaseni Frank Johnson. He is also survived by one sister, Esther Benson, one brother, Emmanuel Johnson and six grandchildren, Micah Olukayode Jones, Adiya Demilade Jones, Zara Adenike Johnson, Aaron Olatunde Johnson, Selah Toluyemi Jones and Milton Jiovanni Johnson.
A visitation will be held at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6701 Muncaster Mill Road on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
