Gyula Istvan Pauer passed away on June 9, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Karen A. Pauer and loving father of Katherine M.T. Pauer and Maria E. Pauer. He is survived by his parents: Gyula and Magdolna Pauer, his sister Katalin (Tom).
He grew up in Wheeling, IL and Lexington, KY. He loved spending time with his family, spoiling his daughters, reading, playing with his trains and historical miniatures.
Services will be private, and a celebration of his life is planned later in the summer.
In lieu of flower, contributions may be made in his name to Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania (designate restoration /preservation ) or Air Force Museum Foundation (National Museum of the United States Air Force) in Dayton OH.
He spent much time sharing his passion for trains and military aviation history with his family at both these museums.
