James Christopher “Chris” Hannan, 68, passed away February 6, 2018. He was an accomplished woodworker, fisherman and horseman. Chris will be forever remembered by his son, Eugene Joseph Hannan (fiance Rachel Lynn Weigand), grandson Lucas Gregory Hannan, sisters Catherine Hannan and Mary Frances Hannan Merwin (William), nieces and nephew, Emily Merwin DiRico (John), William Merwin III and Catherine Merwin, and many friends, particularly longtime housemates Wanda and Mike Haggerty. Friends may call at Our Lady of Victory Church, 4835 MacArthur Blvd NW, Washington, DC, on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30. Interment to follow at Warrenton East Cemetery, Warrenton, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
