Jeff was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland and adopted by his loving parents Walt and Diana Brown. His younger sister, Kathryn, was adopted three years later and their family was complete. They lived in Rockville, MD for a few years before moving to Montgomery Village. Jeff attended high school at The Heights School for Boys and graduated in 1995. He then attended the University of Maryland and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He especially loved local history and had a wealth of knowledge that he loved to share with whoever would listen. He worked a variety of jobs throughout his adult life, most of which involved helping other people in one way or another. He met so many people along the way, befriending as many of them as he could. He was a friend to everyone! He had such a BIG heart. Jeff felt the need to take care of everyone he met and actively reached out to friends and family often. He enjoyed outdoor sports and karate in his free time.
He will always fondly be remembered by his friends for this name he took on for fun: Jeffrey Thomas Simon Bellefonte Ramshackle Quimby Camillus Monamov Brown the Third.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Diana Lee Brown, paternal grandparents Elsie Walker and Kermit Brown, and maternal grandparents Michael and Anita Andrews.
He is survived by his devoted father Walter Brown, sister Kathryn (Barry) Battle, nephews Griffin and Jenson Battle, and his son Asher Friedland. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Gaithersburg, MD on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11:00am, followed by Interment at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. All are welcome to attend.
