John R. Scarbrough, Jr.

John R. Scarbrough, Jr. age 67, died on Saturday December 18, 2021 after a long illness. He was born in Marion, Missouri on June 12, 1954, son of Joan Scarbrough and the late John R. Scarbrough, Sr. He is survived by Lorraine Distasio, his Life Partner of 30 years; sisters Debra A. Washburn, Janet R. Martinez and her husband Steven, 2 nephews and 2 nieces.

John was born into a Navy family and lived in many different places, California, Spain, Rhode Island, Maine, Virginia and finally settled in Maryland. As a young man he loved horseback riding, playing football, ice skating and eventually GOLF.

John considered himself a "Jack of all trades and master of none", but he actually could fix almost anything and would gladly help out friends when needed. He was last employed for 10 years at Comtech Mobile Data Corp. as a Telecommunications Industry Leader.

John loved life. He enjoyed spending time with many friends including watching football on Sunday afternoons. John did have one flaw, he was a Dallas fan. He took the ribbing like a man.

John's Visitation and Celebration of Life arrangements have been postponed until a safer time when friends and family can gather together.
