Judy Ann Johnson

After a lengthy illness, Judy Ann Johnson, passed away peacefully at her home in Frederick, MD on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the age of 73. She was surrounded by family. She was born on December 1, 1947, in Durham, NC, to Charles B. and Margaret Parker Churchill.

Judy was dearly loved by her family and fiercely loved them in return, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed homemaking, cooking and spending time with her family. She was very talented at anything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Churchill; her husband, John (JJ) Roger Johnson; and daughter, Kelly Greene Hailstock.

She is survived by two daughters, Laurie Moseley Martin of Chattanooga, TN; Shannon Greene Hawkins (Jason) of Frederick, MD; one son, David Charles Moseley (Cheri) of Hobart, IN; one sister, Debra Churchill Young (Jim) of Murrells Inlet, SC; two brothers, Kurt Churchill (Diane) of Durham, NC; and Reid Churchill (Debbie) of Durham, NC; and three granddaughters, Julia Martin Bursch (Wes) of Chattanooga, TN; Elliana Hawkins of Frederick, MD; and Arianna Hailstock of Gaithersburg, MD.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 21, at 2:00 p.m. Internment will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
