I was lucky to have Mr. Duffy as both my teacher and colleague, when we worked together at Stone Ridge's summer camp. He always had a smile on his face--he was one of the most genuine, kindhearted and positive people I knew. He made learning English so much fun, and took a personal interest in the success of each and every one of his students. He touched the lives of many, and will be greatly missed. My prayers for his family and friends, and for the entire Stone Ridge community.

Mr. Duffy was my 9th grade English teacher and he was a wonderful and inspirational teacher. I'll always remember his kindness, patience and positive attitude.

Mr. Duffy taught two of my daughters freshman English. What a remarakable and gifted man! Many others will echo those thoughts and that is appropriate. Kevin was an amazing person. His strength and poise was incredible as he prepared for heaven. He is a great loss to our community and we miss him already.

Kevin Duffy was a wonderful colleague. He was so sharp and warm. He was knowledgeable and humble. He was quiet, but shared so readily. I will never forget Mr. Duffy. He made me love English and learning in a way that I never knew was possible. He has been heavy on my mind these past few days and my only regret is that I never got to tell him how much he meant to me and how much I thought of him through the years. He will be dearly missed. We will always remember his beaming and contagious smile as he greeted every Stone Ridge camper. He will be missed by many. Our prayers are with the entire Duffy family.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Duffy as my teacher for English Literature and later Creative Writing classes. He was both passionate and patient, instilling in me, and many others, a lifelong love of literature and poetry. He was always pushing us to do our best. I am a better writer and person because of him. I was so sad to hear of his illness but take comfort in knowing that he lived his life as we all should- with humility, humor and in service of others.
