Kristen Carla Kahler

4/26/1977-3/19/2025

On March 19th 2025, Kristen Carla Kahler passed away at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY alongside her sisters Andrea Moldonado and Janice Csanadi. She went on to graduate from Saint Francis College with a Bachelor’s in Science. Most recently, she has been a resident of Clarksburg, MD for 15 years. Kristen has a passion for adventure, the outdoors and running. She was an accomplished half and full marathon finisher. Even while she was battling her illness, she never stopped traveling or thrill seeking. This included trips to Italy, Hawaii, Bermuda, Graceland, and numerous other places. Along with family and friends, this adrenaline junkie went jet skiing, ziplining, hiked in the rainforest and even went skydiving twice. She loved to spend her time with friends and family. She had an amazing personality with so much love in her heart for others. While having just enough attitude that kept you on your feet.

Kristen is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Michael and their loving children Kaitlyn and Connor. She is the loving Aunt and “Toots” to 9 nieces and nephews and sister/sister in-law to 8 brothers and sisters. She is the daughter/daughter-in law to 3 surviving parents and 1 deceased. She was soo much more to soo many, it’d be impossible to list.

Kristen left us with these words. “Please do me a favor – live, and I mean really live. Get out there and make memories. Go places, See people and Love. Love yourself and others. Because in the end, that’s all that really matters.”

Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Thursday March 27, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm where a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10 am.
