Laura K. Maynard

Laura K. Maynard, 92, a resident of Rockville, Maryland passed away at Frederick Memorial Hospital and entered eternal rest on Sunday July 25, 2021. Born in Hurley, Virginia on November 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Sallie Sanson. Laura was a strong, loving, and hardworking woman. She worked during World War II testing bomb detonators and then spent the biggest majority of her life being a Restaurateur. She most recently co-owned and operated Burbanks Luncheonette in downtown Rockville with her beloved late husband, Hence Maynard, whom she was married to for 62 years.

Laura was the loving mother of Larry G. Maynard who preceded her in death, daughter, Tina Rae Maynard and her husband, Frank E. Moore III, Thurmont, MD and Debbie Eileen Maynard and Saul Rodriguez, Rockville, MD; loving grandmother of Kimberly, Jonathan, Shannon, Melissa, Kristal, Venessa & Michael; beloved great-grandmother of Ronnie, Kaylynn, Zyanna, Geovonti, Riley, Jasmine, Virginia, Rian & Victoria; loving great - great- grandmother of Hailey; beloved sister of Inafean, who proceeded her in death and Virginia Dietz.

Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD on Friday July 30, 2021 from 12 to 2 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD at 2:30 p.m.
