He was born in Rockville, MD on September 26, 1934. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father Ellis Johnson, his mother Austie Simmons Johnson and his sister Mary Maxine Griffith.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Shirley Ann Johnson.
He made his career as an Oil Burner Mechanic and worked at T.W. Perry in Gaithersburg until his retirement. He was a member of the Rockville Moose Lodge for 57 years where he had the honor of being Pilgrim which he was very proud of.
He leaves behind a brother Lester Johnson (Bev), daughters Deborah Burrill, Karen Futrell (Roger) and Linda Rutledge (Donald). He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
