Marschere Lashawn Miller

Marschere LaShawn Miller, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on November 17, 1950, in Washington, D.C., and resided in Germantown, Maryland.

Marschere dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. With over 30 years of service in the medical field, she spent 25 of those years at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, where her compassion and commitment touched countless lives.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome Miller, and her cherished son, Clifton Miller. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jerome Deon Miller, her brother Clifton Stevens, and her sister Lavern Hyson.

Marschere’s legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and the many lifelong friends who were blessed by her warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness.

Her life was a testament to faith, family, and service — and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Marschere will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Dr., Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877.
