Mary Virginia Dimond Hagen, 92, beloved sister, wife, aunt, and friend, died peacefully at home on November 20, 2022. A native of Wash, D.C., she was preceded in death by her husband George Hagen, Jr.; daughters Rebecca Elizabeth and Christina Ann;parents Elliott T. and Elizabeth Garner Dimond; brothers Elliott T., Jr., Michael, and Robert Dimond; sisters Elizabeth Smith, Regina Myers and Sheila Merrifield. She is survived by her sister Maureen Emerson, and brothers Francis, Paul and AnthonyDimond, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
She was the secretary for the Director of Buildings and Grounds of the D.C. Government. A devout Catholic, she faithfully served her parish. She was an enthusiastic quilter, as a member of the Merry Cats quilting bee. She was a fantastic baker and an avid reader who was always up for a new adventure and who loved to laugh.
A visitation will be held Sat., Dec 10, 2022 at 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Mass at noon at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 201 S. Fredrick Ave., Gaithersburg MD.
