

On Saturday, January 27, 2024, MARY JACQUELINE KELLIHER (known as Jackie to her family) entered eternal rest. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Joseph “Joe” Kelliher; daughter of the late Alice L. Gray and late George H. Gray; loving sister of the late George Gray, Jr. (Dorothy) the late Albert Neil Gray (Mary Ann), Regina Shackelford (Walter), the late Marie Hughs (Courtney), the late Gerald Gray (Margaret Ann), and Nancy Vessell (Allen). Cherished mother of Dennis M. Kelliher (Carmen), Kathleen Kelliher Ward (Ronald), Daniel P. Kelliher (Theresa). Grandmother of Cristina Bolton (Chris), Michael Kelliher, Shannon Kelliher, Mary Ellen Kelliher, Ronald Ward, Jr. (Gillian), Kelly Meeder (Andrew), Jospeh Kelliher, Kathryn Kelliher, Colleen Kelliher and Abigail Kelliher. Dear Great-grandmother of Graham Bolton and Franklin Meeder. She is also survived by many treasured nieces and nephews and friends.
Jackie was born October 17, 1938, and grew up in Washington D.C. and Silver Spring Maryland. She graduated from the Academy of Holy Names High School in Washington D.C. in 1957. Jackie and Joe Kelliher were married May 27, 1961, at Saint Jude’s Church in Rockville, Maryland. Jackie worked for many years at the C&P Telephone Company and later for Verizon. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Howard Community College in Communications. Jackie continued to attend Howard Community College taking courses in art, painting, and drawing. Jackie enjoyed watercolor painting and pencil drawing. Jackie was also an avid sports fan following Georgetown Basketball, the Maryland Terrapins, Washington Football Teams, and the Baltimore Orioles. Mostly Jackie enjoyed time her friends and attending all the ceremonies, sporting events, concerts, plays and graduations of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday February 7, 2024, 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish (Wilde Lake Interfaith Center), 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 pm Wednesday February 7, 2024.
