

Mary Lee, affectionately known as “Mom Mom” was born August 7, 1926 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Harry and Goldie Myers. Mary entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Marvin L. Lee, her son Steven M. Lee, her loving parents Harry and Goldie Myers and her sister Marie Mills.
Mary leaves behind her son Mark D. Lee (Celia), daughter Margaret E. Bonanno (Ted), and son John M. Lee (Patti). Mary also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Cheryl, Paul, April, Tina, Garrett, Daryl, Jacob, Rebecca, Kevin, Kelly, Justin, Katie, Maddi, and Dean; 17 great grandchildren: Dayne, Dylan, Paige, Avlynn, Wyatt, Aiden, Gunner, Dixie, Emilee, Jazzy, Auston, Logan, Weston, Chloe, Saoirse, Daunte, and Phoenix; and 1 great-great grandchild: Gabriel.
Mary attended high school in Roanoke Virginia. She worked as a dental assistant and a stenographer in Roanoke. Mary spent most of her married years in Randolph Hills, Rockville, Maryland as a homemaker taking care of her 4 children. After her children were grown she became a collator for the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) in Rockville, MD for 15 years. She was a superb cook and baker. Everyone loved her peanut butter pie, macaroni salad, three-bean salad, orange fluff and fancy cookies. She attended Montrose Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women’s Democratic club and helped run the voting poles every four years. Mary wrote articles for the Echo (a bimonthly local paper for Randolph Hills). She was an active member in the Randolph Hills Homemakers club, sold Avon for several years, and loved making crafts.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD from 10:30am to 11:30am with a funeral service starting at 11:30, followed by a burial at Parklawn Memorial Par, Rockville, MD.
