Nicholas Enrique Cueva, Jr.

Nicholas was born on August 19th,1965, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Carmen Y. Cueva and Nicolas E. Cueva Sr. He grew up in Baltimore with his younger sister, Elizabeth Y. Cueva. At age 13, His father unexpectedly died, leaving behind him and his sister and mother. This led him to become a hard worker at a young age; he had multiple jobs to help support his family.

He found solace working for St. Jude Shrine in Baltimore, Maryland, where he spent 20 years in an Assistant Manager position. In 2018, he left St. Jude and began working at Harris Teeter in Darnestown, Maryland, where he was employed at the time of his death. He was surrounded by his coworkers who cared for him.

In 2005, he met his wife, Kimberly M. Cueva, and they got married on May 5, 2007. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and a touch of chaos. From there, they shared 20 years together and 18 years in marriage. They raised 3 beautiful children: Isabella L. Cueva, Nicolas E. Cueva, and Gabriela M. Cueva.

Nicholas is survived by his three children, his wife, Kimberly M. Cueva, his loving sister, Elizabeth Y. Cueva, and his loving dog and cat, Stella and Coco Cueva.

A Viewing will be held at Devol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877, on Monday, October 13th, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service (Mass) will be offered at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 201 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, at 11 am.

Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Road, Germantown, Maryland.
