

Ms. Nina Stavitskaya peacefully went home to Heaven on March 17, 2023. She came to this country from Uzbekistan in 2004. Back in Uzbekistan she was a high school teacher for 40 years. For her outstanding service she was awarded a Merited teacher of Uzbekistan medal. She was deeply respected and admired by her students and colleagues alike. She loved this country dearly and was able to fully integrated into the American lifestyle. She travelled across the country a lot whereas she never ceased to say how beautiful America was.
An icon of style, she remained beautiful and polished until her final moment. The men of all ages would compliment her for her impeccable style, poise, and manners. She was not only beautiful outside. Most importantly she was beautiful inside. The Great-Grandmother of 2, she worked tirelessly to raise her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids to teach them good manners and give them good education. She was heavily involved in the extracurricular activities at school helping her students learn and grow into the confident, knowledgeable adults. In this country, also she taught Russian language and literature to the Russian American kids at a Sunday school.
Her students who are now scattered all over the world due to work and family, were staying in touch with her through social media. Every day she had to respond to dozens of emails and inquiries from her students. Her popularity was tremendous.Ms. Nina’s husband Boris passed away in 2010 and the son Oleg in 2013.Ms. Nina Stavitskaya is survived by her daughter Elena Nugent, son-in-law Gerald, two grandkids-Ekaterina and Arseni (Julia), and two great-grandkids-Valeria and Ilya and a sister Tamara.
