

Paul Arthur Willer, 91, formerly of Springfield, MA, died peacefully on March 27, 2022. Paul was born in Clyde OH, the only son of James Hensel and Edna Leona (Sherer) Willer. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Ann (Britton) Willer who passed away in 2009. Together they shared 58 years of marriage.
Paul’s career spanned over 30 years with William E Wrights & Sons in Sales and Marketing. He started as a salesman for the OH-KY-WV territory and served as district managers for the Chicago and New York offices. He became the VP of National Accounts before moving to East Longmeadow, Massachusetts where he served as VP of Marketing and VP of Sales. He was the liaison for Wrights with partner companies both in the US and abroad. Paul was a member of East Longmeadow Methodist Church and the Masons – Monticello Lodge, in Clyde OH. He volunteered at the East Longmeadow Senior Center filing taxes for many years. His final years were in retirement communities at Reeds Landing in Springfield MA where he enjoyed years with many close friends including Carol Byrnes and for the past year he lived at Ingleside Kings Farm in Rockville MD.
He enjoyed traveling for leisure as well as playing golf and bridge. He loved caring for his homes in East Longmeadow and Brewster on Cape Cod. He is remembered as a man who worked hard to provide for his family and who was always counted on for his honesty and integrity. He was well-respected in business and in the communities in which he lived.
He is survived by his children: Teri (Willer) Stoddard of Birdsboro PA, wife of Gregory Stoddard; Steven Willer of Derwood MD, husband of Alice (Krauss) Willer; Melinda Willer of Darnestown MD, wife of Paul Hobelmann; and James Willer of East Longmeadow MA, husband of Kathryn (Sullivan) Willer. He has 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at DeVol Funeral Home in Gaithersburg MD on April 8th. Interment will be in Clyde OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of the National Capital Area.
