He was born on June 10, 1977, in the Dominican Republic to Maria B. Rosario and Pedro A.Garcia. Pedro spent his early childhood in Brooklyn, NY, before his family moved to Providence, RI, where he grew up surrounded by loved ones. After graduating from high school in New York, he spent some time living with his sister, Maria, in Germantown, MD, before proudly serving in the U.S. Navy until 1999.
Pedro will be remembered for his free spirit, deep respect for all spiritual paths, and his boundless love for family. His charisma and charm drew people to him, and his passion for music and dance was unmatched. Often, he could be found joyfully dancing alone, a sight both humorous and beautiful to those who loved him. Behind his laughter and rhythm was a tender heart, full of love. If you knew him you loved him. He was that unforgettable. He was that charismatic. He made people feel good even when he didn’t feel good. He was kind, he was empathetic. He was adored by his mother Maria Bienvenida Rosario.
He is survived by his children: Max Lora, Matius Garcia, Aliandro Garcia, Amir Garcia, Sahyra Garcia, Joshua and Mariah Garcia; and his siblings: Maria Garcia Ireland, Yohanny Garcia, Cristina Garcia, and Marisol Garcia and his life partner Michelle Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria B Rosario Garcia.
Our heart is broken more than words can express. May he find the peace his heart longed for. He loved God and now is with Him. He showed kindness, tolerance, and grace to others. His Mom adored him, his children adored him and so many loved his fun loving comedic energy. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his loving Mother, Grandmothers, Grandpas, and so many who left before him. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We love you, Amor Eterno.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. He will be cremated following the service.
