Rossana was born on January 12, 1966, in Peru, where she was raised alongside nine siblings. She grew up surrounded by family, lovingly guided by her parents and older sisters. She held a profound love for her father, who was always present for her and remained one of her greatest sources of strength and comfort throughout her life. From a young age, she learned the meaning of perseverance, humility, and strength. Those early hardships shaped the extraordinary woman she became — compassionate, hardworking, and deeply appreciative of life’s simplest blessings.
Despite the challenges she faced, Rossana made the brave decision to come to the United States in 2001 in search of a better life for her family, whom she loved immensely. Through hard work and determination, she achieved her own version of the American Dream by earning her license and becoming a childcare provider, a role she was deeply proud of. She took care of many kids for 25 long years, who she loved and cared for. She created a community of help, support, and love wherever she went — offering comfort and a listening ear to young mothers in need of guidance. She gave selflessly, never seeking recognition, and her generosity left a lasting impact on countless lives.
In 2017, Rossana was diagnosed with cancer. For nine years, she faced her illness with grace, strength, and unwavering courage. She was a true warrior. Even in the face of immense adversity, she chose love over fear and kindness over despair, inspiring everyone who walked beside her on her journey. During those nine years, Rossana continued to live fully and fearlessly. She fulfilled many of her dreams — watching her children become successful, purchasing her dream home, and building the daycare she had always envisioned. Despite the challenges she faced, she never stopped creating, loving, and giving. Her accomplishments during those years stand as a powerful testament to her resilience, determination, and extraordinary spirit.
Rossana passed peacefully on January 12, 2026, on her 60th birthday — a poignant and meaningful full circle of life. Though her time with us feels far too short, the love she gave and the lessons she taught will live on forever.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving soul, a fierce warrior, and a woman whose heart knew no limits. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she shared, and the strength she showed every single day.
Rossana E. Huamani Diaz will be deeply missed and forever loved.
